TURKEY BURGERS TO THE MAX!!!! - HAPPY TASTY TUESDAY!

I've been on a TURKEY BURGER bender!!! LOL!!!  But really... Jennie-o's lean ground turkey was on a SUPER sale for $1.99 at Shop Rite, SO I bought 5 packs!!!!

It's safe to say that since I have turkey... I've been using turkey!!

I've created not one, but two amazing different types of turkey burgers that I want to share with you today for #TastyTuesday!!!!

Last week I made what I called, Mediterranean Turkey Burgers, SO good!!! Then as we were eating them... I was thinking... Hmmm... I could add a few more things to these, and they'd be GREEK!!!

SO... I then made Greek Turkey Burgers last night... and boy oh BOY were they YUMMY! :)

Mediterranean Turkey Burgers

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb. lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 shallot, diced
  • 1 cup spinach, torn
  • 1 medium tomato, seeded and diced
  • 1 egg, beaten (or 2 egg whites)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 tsp. Flavor God Garlic Lovers (or other spices of choice)
  • 1/4 tsp. Flavor God Italian Zest
  • 1 tsp. Lightly dried Cilantro  (or 1 Tbsp. Fresh)
  • Himalayan salt and fresh cracked black pepper to taste
  • Lettuce for bun or bun*


Directions:
Mix it all up, spray pan with non stick cooking spray~divide into 5 equal sized patties, cook over medium heat for 8 minutes, flip and repeat until cooked thoroughly!!

**1/4 cup feta per burger optional, or top with cheese of choice ( I used Muenster!)!!**

**Serve on a lettuce bun to save a yellow/carb!**

Without cheese:: 1 burger = 1 red - 1/2 green (add 1 blue with cheese /1 yellow with bun!)

GREEK TURKEY BURGERS

Ingredients:
  • 1 lb. lean ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup spinach, torn
  • 1/4 cup cherry tomatoes (about 4), diced
  • 1 Tbsp. semi-dried cherry tomatoes (canned-or sun dried)
  • 10-15 kamalata olives, pitted, and sliced
  • 1 egg white
  • 1/4 cup red onion, diced
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh parsley (or 1 tsp. lightly dried)
  • 1/4  tsp. oregano
  • 1/8 tsp. Rosemary
  • 1/8 tsp. thyme
  • dash cinnamon
  • Himalayan salt and pepper to taste
  • 5 Tbsp. Feta Cheese 
  • Lettuce for bun, or bun

Directions: 

Mix up ALL ingredients ASIDE from the feta cheese, spray pan with non stick cooking spray~divide into 6 equal sized patties, cook over medium heat for 8-10 minutes, flip and repeat until cooked thoroughly. top w/ feta cheese, and allow to melt!!!

**Serve on a lettuce bun to save a yellow/carb!**

Without cheese:: 1 burger = 1 red - 1/2 green - 1 blue  (1 yellow with bun!)


BOTH of these burgers are SOOOO hearty AND delicious, I don't even know which I love more!!!! :)
