Sweet Potato Chili :)

HELLO THERE!!! So sorry that I've been MIA for the last 2 weeks!!! Believe it or NOT~ even though it's summer, LIFE HAS BEEN BUSY!!!!! BUT I'm here, and I have a GREAT recipe for you!!! This is an original recipe that I created last week for Matt while I was going to be away for my job... and it was AMAZING!!! :)

BTW... YES, it FREEZES WELL!!!! <3

I used Flavor God seasoning, but it's O.K if you don't have them:: BUT I love them, and would recommend them to ANYONE.. hell... I have like 25 bottles in my cabinet! haaaa!! SO... head HERE to get yourself some!!! :)


Sweet Potato Chili

What You Need:

  • 1 lb. lean ground turkey
  • 1 medium sweet potato, chopped into 1 inch cubes
  • 1 bell peppers, chopped into to desired size (I used orange and yellow)
  • 1 small onion, chopped finely
  • 1-14.5 oz can NSA diced tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
  • 1/8 cup red cooking wine (optional, but gives the chili an amazing taste!)
  • 1 Tbsp. EVOO
  • 1 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. Flavor God Garlic Lovers*
  • 1/4 tsp. Flavor God Pink Himalayan Sea Salt and Pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. Flavor God Chipotle*
  • 1 tsp. agave
What You Do:
  1. Heat EVOO in a large skillet over medium-high heat.  
  2. Brown turkey with minced garlic for 5 minutes, or until most all of the pink is gone.
  3. Add cubed sweet potatoes, cooking wine, and all spices.  Cook 5-8 minutes on med-high
  4. Add onion, peppers, and diced tomatoes.  Simmer 15-20 minutes.
Makes apx 6 servings
1 serving = 1 1/2 cups = 1 red, 1/2 yellow, 1/2 green, 1/2 tsp

**Garlic Lovers Flavor God: Garlic, onions, sea salt, chili powder, basil, pepper, coriander, parsley, thyme

**Chipotle Flavor God: Onions, garlic, sea salt, chipotle chili pepper powder, cumin, coriander, black pepper, basil, cayenne, parsley

** I still recommend getting the BIG ole bottles of Flavor God btw.!!! they're double the size of any other seasoning you might already have!!**
