Week 1 Recap - Whole30 and Week Two Meal Plan


So.... I FEEL AMAZING. :) Weren't you expecting that? Or were you expecting me to come to you guys this week FULL of complaints? :p NOPE.. I've got NONE!!!

Apparently, the first few days were the "hangover phase..." and I didn't even FEEL it.. I wasn't DYING of a "sugar-tox" headache like I have in the past when I've done things that are similar.. but it also might be because I've had to cut coffee out at the same time.. and well.. THIS girl likes just a cup, sometimes even less than a cup.. but--it gets my early morning started.

NON-SCALE VICTORIES::

As you'll see below, I'm NOT doing the comparing photo thing, or scale thing until I'm done.. OR I'm trying not to! :) BUT I've noticed a few things... I have ENERGY... Both of my knees hurt at times... mainly from intensive exercise... my left knee--NO PAIN! BLOAT = GONE!  Belly = GOING DOWN all together.. Clothes are FITTING BETTER. :) I'm FULL BEFORE MY FOOD IS GONE... (O.K.. so that's happened before.. BUT.. now: I ACTUALLY STOP EATING!) WHAT?! HELLO!!!

I've been reading It Starts with Food, and Food Freedom Forever... It Starts with Food seems to be intended to read prior to starting Whole30, and Food Freedom Forever, the opposite: made for after. BUT they're both amazing, and are very beneficial while on this journey.

I've learning something eye opening.. something I've known .. BUT... when placed into perspective::: "The food you eat either makes you more healthy, or less healthy.  Those are your options." OUCH!!.. HOW about that #truthbomb on this Sunday afternoon?!

I'd be lying if I said this was the ONLY eye opener for me.. there have been SO many eye openers.. I'm about 50 pages into each book (why I'm reading them BOTH right now-- at the same time... who knows... I'm also almost finished with a book I began late December... a book that's also changing my life: Be Obsessed or Be Average--like FOR REAL READ IT!)

But anyway... MORE on the books I'm reading, and how they're CHANGING my life in my next challenge group that I WANT YOU IN by the way:: Ya know.. if you want to spend 30 days loving yourself, making health choices, and learning how to simply COPE and LOVE with LOVE rather than "just getting by.." then seriously... let's chat about that... Simply apply here, and we'll chat <3

Sometimes you need a change... and well... APPARENTLY BEYOND the junk I was letting into my body.. I also needed to go of the little bit of dairy I was holding onto... I needed to let go of the grains (even though they were few---), and the peanut butterrrrrr.. Because well, ALMOND butter isn't even that far off!!! I can't do almond butter over peanut butter!!! :P I mean... Don't get me wrong.. There

isn't WHITE CHOCOLATE ALMOND BUTTER... And definitely not any FUN flavors that aren't spiked with any sugars, or other things I can have while on Whole30.. but hey... I'm living!


AND OH BOY AM I LIVING... HAVE YOU SEEN THE FOOD I'M EATING?!?!?!?!?!

Some of these recipes, and the PORTIONS we're able to eat (yes.. WE'RE-- because Matt IS eating these foods too... Granted.. he had a non-Whole30 approved lunch for the first few days to finish up some leftovers, and he DID have a cheat day on Saturday -_- AND he's still having the chemical based creamer -_- SIMPLY because he HATES that I'm spening $15 on 2 weeks worth of creamer, that would probably last HIM

3 days.. ha!--and coffee with creamer is all the poor man has left. <3 ) SO he's trying.. AND hey, he's STILL down 6 lbs.!!!!!!!! We're BOTH doing Hammer and Chisel, and just completed week one of that too!! [SORRY: NO photos from me.. because appareeeeenntttly... I'm not supposed to be weighing in, measuring, or taking photos... -_- SO.. I'll take them.. JUST not compare them yet... Until maybe when I SIMPLY CANNOT HELP MYSELF.. because well... RESULTS ARE FOR REAL RIGHT NOW!!!!]

SO..... YES, I'm drinking Shakeology, like I've said.. and since I get a PRE-WORKOUT snack, and a POST-WORKOUT snack.. I'm doing an RX Bar Pre-workout, and my Shakeology Post-workout! It's been working great!  I'm doing vegan Shakeology, because again, NO DAIRY, and they're whey protein in the regular Shakeology. :p

These bars are seriously AMAZING though!  I wasn't too sure about them in the beginning.. -_- I had bought a few from Trader Joe's just to try them.. and I first tried the Coconut Chocolate one, assuming that one would be my favorite... and well... I wasn't expecting the texture I guess I'd say!  They're not as similar to Lara Bars as I though they would be.. but that's because of the egg whites! SO, this makes them have more protein!  AND it makes them a bit more "dense."  Blueberry and Apple Cinnamon are my ALL time favorites!!  I like the Chocolate Sea Salt as well!  Meslisa [Co-Creator of Whole30] is ALL for these for active peeps, on the go peeps, etc.. BUT STRESSES:: DO NO used them to curb your "sugar dragon," and do NOT used them to replace dessert.. SO, I'm using them a pre-workout, because they've got protein, fats, and carbs... They work for me... obviously!

Shakeology.. WELL that's just always worked for me.... It's the perfect blend of protein, carbs, fats, vitamins, and minerals, etc. that my body craves and needs daily.. especially after a workout!  I've gotten a bit creative with my Whole30 approved recipes since I can't use my usual: chocolate, peanut butter, banana!!! :p

 Totally DELISH!  ---> SO YES.. Is it worth it? HELL YES!!!!!!!! I'm already meal prepped for NEXT WEEK!! AND I CANNOT WAIT!! <3
