My 21 Day Fix/21 Day Fix Extreme Journey


I began my fitness journey on January 5th 2015, with healthy eating and a gym membership, as you'll find in my "about me" section.   I  had become friends on Facebook with this super inspirational woman, Sharon, and I was a part of a clean eating group of hers and I LOVED IT!  I loved the awesome recipes, and the motivation.  Thing became easier for me, but they were all talking about this program called "21 Day Fix!"  I hadn't heard much about it since I didn't have any other friends who were Beachbody Coaches on my page, or at least I didn't think so...  I Googled it, it seemed pretty cool.... SO while at the gym one day in late February, after only losing 17 lbs. so far, I gave in when seeing the infomercial for 21 Day Fix on TV!!!

MIND YOU~ I went about the ordering process ALL WRONG~ I didn't realize that COACHES were the go to when you wanted to purchase a product, BUT Sharon forgave me, and she was assigned as my coach! THANK GOD, because she made it ALL WORTH WHILE! <3 <3

I began 21 Day Fix on March 3rd 2015!  I was nervous as hell, and wasn't sure if I'd get through it!! My fiance, Matt was going all in with me too!!!  We knew it was going to be a journey, and we were ready to begin!!!!!

The workouts got easier, so did the meal plan!  Even Matt felt challenged!  We didn't need a whole lot of equipment to start off~ I already had a few sets of weights.. I had 5 lbs., 8lbs., and one 10 lb. weight!  So I needed another 10 lb. weight!  Matt used those for most things in the beginning, until he found a nice heavier pair of dumbells on Craigslist for cheap!! Then we just got some nice padded yoga mats! :)

I became slightly addicted to buying cute workout clothes since I had a post-workout selfie thing going on! ;)

21 day fix, 21 day fix results, 21 day fix tips, 21 day fix recipes, 21 day fix reviews, does 21 day fix work, 80/20 diet, 80/20 lifestyle, 80/20The meal plan was close to what I was already doing for us, just a bit cleaner, and the portions were a little different.  The way to portion control works is based off of weight essentially.  After doing the formula, you fit yourself into a bracket, and then use containers to measure out your food! When I began 21 Day Fix, I was in the 3rd bracket.  It's very easy to not realize that you should be moving down in brackets, so I made this simple to follow chart for my clients who doing 21 Day Fix, just for that reason!  I had hit 165 lbs., and I was still eating out of the second bracket, and was wondering why my weight was at a stand still!  It's VERY important to keep track of your nutrition.  After all, this IS 80% nutrition, and 20% exercise.  Along with it being 80% diet.  There's another 80/20 rule where you're able to have a treat! This means 80% of the time, your diet should be ON TARGET, and 20% of the time, you're able to have a treat meal~ aka a cheat meal.. STILL keep your portions in mind though.  :) That's what I did from the time I began my journey until this very day!

Matt and I have come a very long way from where we began in January 2015~ and it's ALL thanks to 21 Day Fix, not only the workouts, but the meal plan, and Shakeology.  Of course we've attempted to do other programs, but even during that I NEVER once geared away from the 21 Day Fix meal plan, it was the best fit for me, and I've found that it is for most.

Matt and I continued 21 Day Fix all throughout the winter, spring, and summer of 2015~ We weren't keeping track of how many rounds were actually completing at this point, we just kept pushing play!!

In July 2015, I knew I needed to AMP IT UP! So I purchased 21 Day Fix Extreme, and kickstarted it with a 3 Day Refresh, and I was AMAZED at what was happening to my body!! I was feeling SO strong!  I loved that the workouts were just amped up a bit, yet still 30 minutes!  I followed the meal plan as well, and with the refresh and 21 Day Fix Extreme combined, I lost 11.2 lbs, about 6.2 inches, and 1.3% body fat!! :)

After Julys round, I felt SUPER strong, and for whatever reason, I wanted to try other programs... SO I veered off, and did an 8 week Hybrid of Body Beast and PiYo~ it was pretty awesome, and I DID get strong, and I got more flexible than I was before too!  BUT I always found myself wanting to go back to 21 Day Fix!  So on days when I didn't want to push play, I'd go to one of my favorite 21 Day Fix workouts instead, like Dirty 30 or Dirty 30 Extreme, and GET TO IT!

I soon decided that as a coach, I wanted to run MY OWN challenge group, and when doing so, I was going to do another round of 21 Day Fix!  Although there were only 2 of us ACTIVELY completing the workouts within the group (which had about 10-12 people in it....) I got GREAT results!!  I KNEW I should've just kept with this program, because had I, I probably would've reached all of my goals so much sooner.. Although I had lost weight, inches, and body fat all through out the 8 weeks I wasn't doing 21 Day Fix, I did miss it so...
This is when my body REALLY began to transform!!!! I realized exactly what I needed to do, and how I needed to do it... and I started to see amazing results.... I then set out to complete another round of 21 Day Fix Extreme in December, because I knew that was the next step! 

BUT Thanksgiving happened first... AND a 3 day weekend with family, friends, and fun!!! THAT MEANT FOOD!!! And... well I LOVE FOOD!! I DID drink my Shakeology EVERYDAY.. BUT do you see those photos up there?? I'm going to share some photos with you that I took just 2 weeks AFTER those, and I was STILL working out, AND eating well, ALL DAYS aside from 3 FULL DAYS! ..... and well... It's PROOF that you can't out work a bad diet....

I KNEW I needed another 3 Day Refresh after THAT!!!! So I Kickstarted 21 Day Fix Extreme in December, and did do with another Challenge group!  The group wasn't as active as I would've liked it to be, BUT again... IT WORKED, AND IT WORKED FOR ME!!! (they've BEEN AMAZING LATELY, with 100+ lbs. lost in 2 months at a time... omg!..anyway..)

SO... This time in Extreme, I tried to follow the EXTREME meal plan to a T~ BUT I fell short.. I NEEDED chocolate.. :( I'm a FOOD ADDICT.. I'm a SWEET ADDICT.. I'm a CHOCOLATE ADDICT!! :( <3 <3 BUT It's okay!! It's OKAY, because well... I KILLED IT!!! 21 Day Fix Extreme was SO AMAZING~ that I had found myself in a NORMAL BMI, Body Fat Percentage, and weight towards the end of it all!  

Between the two rounds, I had lost 12.4 lbs., 13.75 inches, and 3% body fat in just 3 months!!!! I got over the plateau that I had felt I was at, and I felt strong!  I knew I was going to be doing a newer lifting program in January (The Master's Hammer and Chisel), so I knew I needed to really prepare for it, and I needed to be in tip top shape!  I couldn't have been MORE pleased with these results!  



I would recommend the 21 Day Fix to ANYONE unless they have a physical condition, and they're unable to complete the workouts... BUT there is a modifier for you, and even with the modifier, you'll get amazing results.. TRUST and assure.. I modified in the beginning for almost everything! 

The 21 Day Fix Meal Plan like I talked about earlier is the most amazing meal plan I've ever come across... I always thought that I "knew how to eat healthy or clean.."  But really.. I didn't.. I was knew some, but I didn't know everything.. Autumn has really outdone herself... And this is the ultimate choice of a beginner, someone in the middle, OR even someone just looking to TONE... Hell, I'm completing another round NOW!! 

I will stand by the 21 Day Fix forever, it's what changed my life, and I've watched it change the life of so many others!!!! <3 <3

THING TO REMEMBER IS~ THIS IS A JOURNEY~ NOT A DESTINATION! :) I've learned that.. and that's what keeps me going!!!!!!

The Master's Hammer and Chisel



ALRIGHTY FRIENDS~~~ Most of you who follow me on Facebook or on IG already have seen my Hammer and Chisel results, but I'd like to announce them on here formally, and chat a little bit about the experience!


What is The Master's Hammer and Chisel? WELL~ it was an 8 week program with 2 master trainers (something Beachbody has never done before!!), and it incorporated light weights, medium weights, heavy weights, and just pure body weight!!!  It was simply amazing!  Within the first week I saw results, and began to feel STRONGER!!  I do not, however, recommend this program to anyone who has yet to complete either 21 Day Fix or 21 Day Fix Extreme... because well.. there were many moves I wouldn't have had proper form with, etc. had I not learned them before!

This all being said, let's take a glimpse into what happened over the last 60 days!!!!!!

DAY 1!!!!
Matt and I go through Chisel Balance (day #1 workout) with a bang.. it was hard, but it was worth it!!! I have no idea how we just kept going, but we did!! ESPECIALLY AFTER INDULGING OVER THE HOLIDAYS!!!  We both put on 3-5 lbs. from the 23rd of December until January 4th!! EKKK!!! I could already tell that the nutrition factor was going to be SO important, so hard, but so worth it......

We did switch our rest day to Friday on most weeks just because it seemed better at the time.. Towards the end, I ended up placing it back where it went.. Why?? WELL.. because the days are all set out where they are FOR A REASON.. and I found the reason out quickly...  Let's see some snap shots from the last 8 weeks....

Those photos are in NO particular order, just some of my favorite moments, although I have SO many favorite moments!  Within the first week of H&C I had already noticed a change!!!!

I honestly couldn't believe that in only 7 DAYS of doing these high intensity workouts, and eating right, my body was CHANGING!! How high intensity? O.k... They're not THAT BAD~ just a mixture of low rep, high weight, high rep, low weight, kinda thing!!! !!! Here's a little peak!! <3 <3




I hope those give you a little insight to the type of workouts I did over the course of 8 weeks!!!  I also incorporated a bonus workout of abs at least 2-3x a weeks, and a bonus leg or glute workout about once weekly.

When I started The Master's Hammer and Chisel, I was barely using 12 pound weights, I end finishing H&C using 15s and 20s for 90% of the moves!!!  I couldn't believe that I was benching 20 pound free weights and doing cleans with them as well... SPEAKING OF~ CLEANS?! WHAT ?! I didn't even know that was such a thing!!!! LOL!!!! But for real... I learned SO much with Hammer and Chisel, and my body is grateful for the knowledge and experience!!!

I used ALL of Beachbody's Performance Line during H&C, aside from Creatine (which Matt used)... I REALLY don't think I would've been able to get past day one without it, let alone complete the whole program!!!!! HAHAHA It's AMAZING !!! I recommend reading up on, and investing in it if you're into ANY program and you need energy ever because of it, or if you're every sore!!

I OBVIOUSLY drank Shakeology every day too!! <3 This year I've dedicated myself to drinking it everyday for all 366 days (Happy Leap YEAR! <3).. Why? Because the CEO, Carl told me to... and I want a really cool Shakeology Shaker cup that tells me how awesome I am!! <3 <3 <3

I had fluctuated in between the weeks, so although I had planned to take pictures and measurements weekly, it didn't work out that way!!! I just took some random Facebook "selfie" pictures, but no real "progress photos" aside from week 1, 30 days, and the end!!  In doing so, I came to realize that my arms got bigger in the sense that they LOST fat, and gained muscle (LOTS OF MUSCLE), but the SIZE of the them actually got smaller!!! The same with my thighs... I felt like they were getting so big in photos... But it was just because I was getting stronger!!! :)

So I lost a total of 6.6 lbs. 3.6% body fat, and 4.75 total inches... As I stated over and over... I wanted to do well eating, and it's SO IMPORTANT.... BUT GUESS WHAT?! I definitely didn't do nearly as well as I has planned to!!! :( #confessionsofafoodaddict !!!!!! I get sad, and I eat, I get mad, and I eat, I'm happy.. and I EAT!!! It's just what I do!! BUT, it's something I'm aware of, and when I'm at my wits-end, I grab an extra shakeo, or a healthy snack!!!! I DO FAIL AT THIS!! I DO!! I'm human, and we're hard creatures to please.. BUT I've worked through it for THIS LONG, and I'll continue to work through it, and MAKE PROGRESS! <3

Matt and I even TRAVELED with The Master's Hammer and Chisel!! We had ZERO EXCUSES to ever miss a workout!!! Matt's mom was also doing the workouts (She's 56!!! HOW AWESOME!!!!!), and since Beachbody on Demand is SO AMAZING, we just brought some weights with us when we went to Virginia, and we had NO EXCUSES!!!! <3 <3 


Working out with Matthew brings us closer together, in fact, we've been on our healthy journey for half of our whole relationship!!! It's definitely brought us a lot closer together, it's what makes us- us...  We're a team when we're coaching, we're a team when were cooking (O.K.. he cleans up!!), and SOMETIMES prepping (heheheh <3 <3), we're a team when we're working out, and we're a team in life, and FOR LIFE!!! I KNOW that I wouldn't have made it through this program, or any of other others, without my rock! <3 <3 


Matt also had some awesome results, although he didn't stick to ANY sort of eating plan!! #MEN... BUT I make him a lunch, so it's controlled... and I make the grocery list, and dinner.. LOL.. so it's all controlled.. it's just the other hours of the day, and the ice cream he likes to have at night heheheh <3 <3 <3 THAT'S OKAY!!!!! <3




I've learned to turn my CAN'TS INTO CANS, AND MY DREAMS INTO PLANS!!! For sure I have!!! <3 <3 <3 I can't imagine not having done this program, and/or not having done it with my side kick!!! I also completed it with a group of my favorite indivuals in a challenge group!! What's a challenge group? WELL~ That's where you get a program, and your Shakeology, and you're in a group of AMAZING people on Facebook, who are doing JUST what you're doing.. and we all kick ass together!!
